Dasco Meets Prabowo to Convey DPR Aspirations: These Are the Issues Discussed

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - President Prabowo Subianto on Wednesday evening (4 March 2026) received Deputy Speaker of the DPR Sufmi Dasco Ahmad at the Istana Merdeka. Dasco reported DPR’s aspirations to Prabowo, who was accompanied by several ministers from the Merah Putih Cabinet. The ministers accompanying the President were Menko Pangan Zulkifli Hasan, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Defence Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar, as well as State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya. According to a post on the official Instagram account of the Cabinet Secretariat, Prabowo listened directly to the aspirations of the DPR lawmakers conveyed through Dasco. The issues raised include readiness of the food supply and food prices, the implementation of the economic stimulus, and the availability of stockpiles of oil and LPG ahead of Lebaran. Additionally, the meeting also discussed geopolitical issues related to situations domestically and internationally. On the previous night at Istana Merdeka, the President invited national figures to the Istana Merdeka. The 7th President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and the 6th President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) attended the event. Prabowo also gathered former vice presidents and former foreign ministers.
