During the meeting, Dasco and the leaders of the OJK and IDX agreed to reform the governance of the stock exchange. ‘We have coordinated and then held lengthy discussions on how the new OJK and the new Exchange Director can improve the governance of the bourse so that it is better going forward,’ he said. Dasco also conveyed a specific message to the OJK regarding the supervisory system, urging that oversight be enhanced in the future. ‘To the OJK, we hope that supervision can also be better going forward, and we have reached common ground on several agreements, certainly for better stock exchange governance in the future,’ Dasco explained.
