Dasco Meets Muhadjir at DPR, Discusses Haji Village Development in Saudi Arabia

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives from the Gerindra faction, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, met with Presidential Special Adviser on Hajj Affairs Muhadjir Effendy in the DPR leadership room, Nusantara III Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta. The meeting was made known through a post on Dasco’s Instagram social media account quoted by CNBC Indonesia on Monday (10/8/2026).

“In this discussion, many matters were raised, including improving service quality, the construction of a Haji Village in Saudi Arabia, and the government’s efforts to gradually reduce the waiting time for hajj pilgrims’ departure, including DAM,” said Dasco.

According to him, the DPR appreciates the various improvements that have occurred in the organisation of the 2026 hajj pilgrimage. The implementation of the hajj has shown progress compared to previous years, although there remain a number of aspects that need to be evaluated to improve the quality of service for Indonesian pilgrims.

“The DPR will continue to oversee improvements in the organisation of the hajj so that services to Indonesian pilgrims become better from year to year,” said Dasco.

The evaluation to be carried out, according to him, is aimed at improving service quality on an ongoing basis.

“All parties involved in the organisation of the hajj pilgrimage can use this year’s evaluation as a foundation for improving service quality in the coming hajj season, so that Indonesian pilgrims receive services that are increasingly safe, comfortable, and of high quality,” said Dasco.
