The meeting was chaired by Deputy Speaker of the DPR Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, accompanied by Saan Mustopa, Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal, and Sari Yuliati. The government was represented by Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Deputy Chair of the National Economic Council Mari Elka Pangestu, as well as Bank Indonesia Deputy Governor Thomas Djiwandono and Ricky Perdana Gozali.
“This is a coordination meeting for economic growth as well as a meeting to mitigate several recent developments,” Dasco said during a press conference at the DPR building in Senayan, Jakarta, on Monday (29/6/2026).
“First, I will give the floor to Mari Elka Pangestu from the National Economic Council,” he added.
Deputy Chair of the National Economic Council Mari Elka stated that coordination meetings regarding economic conditions are routinely held with the DPR. The government and the DPR agreed to maintain short-term macroeconomic stability amidst uncertain global conditions.
“Good afternoon, we from the National Economic Council were invited by Mr. Dasco to the DPR to provide an overview of the current economic situation,” Mari Elka said.
“The essence of the discussion, I believe everyone agrees that all countries are facing uncertain global conditions. And an agreement was reached that the most important thing is to maintain short-term macroeconomic stability,” she added.
