Dasco: Government has prepared solutions to secure BBM amid crisis
“How the mitigation will work, well that already exists, and indeed it’s good in my view. But I’m not the one who will reveal it here; it will be communicated by the government,” he said at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) on Thursday.
“Dasco said that talks at the Istana were not merely about stock availability but also about a rescue scheme if Indonesia faced difficulties securing supplies from the main sources due to geopolitical tensions.”
“Although the situation in the Middle East is heating up, domestic energy availability is claimed to be able to meet the public’s needs for up to three weeks ahead.”
“To date there have been no problems. Our stock is sufficient to meet domestic needs for up to 20 days,” said Bahlil in Jakarta on Monday (2/3).
“Bahlil stressed that the distribution of BBM, especially subsidised types, remains normal across Indonesia. However, he did not rule out potential adjustments to world oil prices if the conflict in the Gulf region continues, which could disrupt global supply chains.”
“Dasco promised that the results of the mitigation discussions, which he described as ‘good’, would soon be announced officially by the government to the public.”
