Dasco Condemns Israeli Attack That Killed TNI Soldier Praka Farizal in Lebanon
Jakarta - Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco Ahmad has strongly condemned the Israeli attack that killed TNI Sergeant Praka Farizal Rhomadhon while he was carrying out a United Nations peacekeeping mission in Lebanon.
The Gerindra Daily Chairman emphasised that the action endangers the safety of all United Nations peacekeeping forces.
“I join in strongly condemning the incident that killed Praka Farizal. This attack is part of a series of events that endanger the safety of UN peacekeeping forces in conflict areas,” said Dasco via his personal Instagram account on Monday (30/3/2026).
He assessed Praka Farizal as a true soldier who had devoted his life to the nation and state.
“He is a true soldier who has devoted his life to the nation and state, with dedication, exemplary conduct, and selfless service to Indonesia,” said Dasco.
Dasco prayed that the deceased would receive the best place by God’s side and that the bereaved family would be granted strength.
“May Allah SWT accept all his deeds and grant him the best place by His side, and may the family left behind be given fortitude and strength,” he concluded.
In addition, several other soldiers sustained injuries.
The Head of the Defence Information Bureau of the Ministry of Defence Secretariat General, Brigadier General TNI Rico Ricardo Sirait, stated that one soldier had died, one was seriously injured, and two others had minor injuries.
“There are casualties from TNI soldiers, namely one deceased, one in serious condition, and two with minor injuries,” said Rico to Kompas.com on Monday (30/3/2026).
Rico assured that the injured victims have received medical treatment.
“And the clarification process is still being carried out by UNIFIL,” he said.
He added that further developments regarding the operation would be conveyed by TNI Headquarters.
