Dasco Calls Energy Minister Bahlil Over Fuel Issues While Receiving Student Aspirations
Wakil Ketua DPR RI Sufmi Dasco Ahmad contacted Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia while receiving aspirations from students staging a protest in front of the parliament building in Senayan, Jakarta. The communication was made to follow up on student complaints regarding the scarcity of subsidised fuel and the increase in non-subsidised fuel prices.
This was conveyed by Deputy Speaker of the House Saan Mustopa after an audience between House leaders and student representatives from several campuses at the parliamentary complex on Friday (19/6/2026).
“Regarding the first demand about fuel, especially the Pertamax price increase, and also the scarcity of subsidised fuel. Earlier, Mr Dasco had already communicated with the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources,” Saan said.
He stated that the students directly listened in on the telephone call. During the communication, Bahlil promised to promptly follow up on the students’ findings regarding the subsidised fuel shortages.
“Earlier, we communicated and interacted very well, and because time was limited, we will communicate more with our friends, the students, in the future,” he added.
Dasco said the students’ aspirations would be forwarded to the government. He noted that the House was carrying out its supervisory duties.
