Dasco and Teddy Tell Him "Brother, Come Back," Hasan Nasbi Returns to Prabowo's Cabinet

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Special Advisor to the President for Communications Hasan Nasbi recounted the moment behind his return to President Prabowo Subianto’s cabinet. Hasan Nasbi had previously been removed as Head of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) in September 2025. Now, Hasan Nasbi has rejoined the cabinet as Special Advisor to the President. “Clearly, Bang Dasco said, Pak Teddy said, ‘Brother, come back formally to help the government’,” Hasan stated in Gaspol Kompas.com, as quoted on Tuesday (12/5/2026). Hasan explained that even after being removed as Head of PCO, he maintained good communication with the Prabowo government. “So actually, there was almost no difference in the last eight months, except for the position. Only the position changed. And I don’t know what the President’s considerations were; of course, the President has the right to his own considerations,” he clarified. “I also said, ‘actually, even without a position, I would remain like this, I would still help the government’. But, ‘no, Sir wants Brother to have a formal position’. Well, so now the formal position is as Special Advisor to the President for Communications,” Hasan continued. He mentioned that he often educated the public about what the government was doing, even after no longer holding the status of Head of PCO. “Well, perhaps because of that, he felt to just give a formal position like that. And now, alhamdulillah, I have been given trust by him, and as soon as I am assigned, I am ready. Assigned again, we are ready,” Hasan added.
