Darunnajah Boarding School Students Enjoy Sacrificial Beef from President Prabowo Subianto
Jakarta (ANTARA) – Hundreds of students at Darunnajah Boarding School in Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta, enjoyed sacrificial beef donated by President Prabowo Subianto during the celebration of Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriyah on Wednesday.
“During this year’s Eid al-Adha, Darunnajah Boarding School, through LAZNAS Darunnajah, received a sacrificial cow from President Prabowo Subianto,” said LAZNAS Darunnajah Director Zakiyanto Arief in Jakarta on Wednesday.
He stated that the 850-kilogram cow was a gift from the President. Additionally, Minister of Agrarian Affairs and National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Nusron Wahid also donated a cow.
Zakiyanto said both cows had been slaughtered, with the meat distributed to hundreds of students, teachers, and local residents around the boarding school.
“We sincerely thank all donors who entrusted their religious obligations through the ‘Kita Qurban Darunnajah’ programme,” Zakiyanto said.
“May Allah SWT accept this sacrifice as a virtuous deed of great weight on the Day of Judgement, and convert every drop of blood and animal sacrifice into abundant blessings, health, and prosperous livelihoods for donors, students, teachers, and thousands of beneficiaries across Indonesia,” he added.
Zakiyanto noted that, according to Sharia law where one cow equals seven goats, the total sacrificial animals this year amounted to 719 goat equivalents.
He said this figure set a new record as the second-highest volume since the institution began recording post-COVID-19.
“This year’s achievement represents a massive growth of 46 percent compared to 2025 figures,” Zakiyanto stated.
He added that this success is a positive signal and an indicator of strong public trust, marking the strongest philanthropic movement revival in the past five years under LAZNAS Darunnajah’s integrated management.
“This consistent growth record demonstrates the unwavering dedication of all internal elements of the boarding school, rectorate, university, and the layered loyalty of donors,” Zakiyanto said.
He added that this management success reflects the solid social capital and trust from Darunnajah’s inclusive partnership ecosystem, including alumni across generations, parents, corporate partners, and public retail donors.
The distribution of these donations was carried out simultaneously and integrally through strategic networks at 23 Darunnajah Branch Boarding Schools spread across remote areas of Indonesia, bolstered by the involvement of Universitas Darunnajah’s academic community.
The institution reaffirmed its public accountability commitment for this year’s achievements, emphasising that the trust placed in them is more than a mere spiritual transaction between donors and the organisation.
“This is a profound Islamic brotherhood bond, which we uphold on the foundations of absolute transparency, regulatory and Sharia-compliant accountability, and full commitment to delivering sacrificial meat to the most deserving recipients across the nation,” Zakiyanto said.
