Aceh Tamiang, Aceh — The head of the Darul Mukhlisin Islamic Boarding School in Tanjung Karang, Mulkana, has announced that the Darul Mukhlisin Mosque, which was struck by flash floods and landslides at the end of November 2025, has now been fully restored and is open to the public.

“The general public — praise be to God — we also have many worshippers who prefer to pray here. It is open to anyone,” said Mulkana when met at the Darul Mukhlisin Mosque in Tanjung Karang, Aceh Tamiang, Aceh, on Wednesday.

He said the Darul Mukhlisin Mosque has a capacity of up to three thousand worshippers. The boarding school itself has 205 students, comprising 103 male and 102 female pupils.

As such, anyone is welcome to perform tarawih prayers at the Darul Mukhlisin Mosque during Ramadan 1447 Hijriah.

On the occasion, Mulkana expressed his gratitude that the mosque is functioning again after being battered by thousands of logs during the flash floods that struck the Aceh Tamiang area.

According to him, the recovery should have taken one to two years. However, the attention given by the government and the community enabled the restoration to be completed within just two months.

“Work that should have taken a year or two was completed in two months. So now there is no mud left in any of our rooms,” said Mulkana.

As previously reported, Presidential Chief of Staff Muhammad Qodari stated that the Darul Mukhlisin Integrated Islamic Boarding School (Dayah) in Tanjung Karang Village, Karang Baru Sub-district, Aceh Tamiang Regency, Aceh Province, received special attention from the central government for immediate post-disaster recovery.

The boarding school complex, spanning approximately 2.5 hectares, is situated within a five-hectare area that had become a collection point for timber debris carried by the river.
