Darul Amanah Islamic Boarding School Students Embark on Educational Visit to Parliament Complex

Dozens of students from Pondok Pesantren Darul Amanah Sukorejo, Kendal, conducted an educational visit to the DPR/MPR RI Complex in Central Jakarta, aimed at broadening their national insight and interacting directly with the country’s high state institutions. “We affirm that this educational excursion holds crucial meaning for the character building and national awareness of the santri,” said the Leader of Pondok Pesantren Darul Amanah, KH Muhammad Fatwa, in Jakarta on Tuesday. According to him, the direct experience of interacting with a high state institution will open the horizons of the young pesantren generation. “Through this visit, the santri can learn firsthand how the people’s representatives work to champion the aspirations of the people,” he said. He expressed hope that the visit would foster high motivation and aspirations among the santri. Upon graduation, they are expected to be ready to pursue careers in society, become trustworthy people’s representatives, defend the voice of the people, and dedicate themselves fully to defending the homeland. He noted that through this series of state visits, the student council members are expected to absorb leadership knowledge experientially and broaden their national insight. “We hope the santri will transmit this positive spirit to the thousands of other santri within the Pondok Pesantren Darul Amanah campus in Kendal,” he said. Meanwhile, Member of the House of Representatives Commission VI from Electoral District 1 Central Java, Firnando Hadityo Ganinduto, expressed his appreciation and admiration for the existence of Pondok Pesantren Darul Amanah. “Pondok Pesantren Darul Amanah is a large pesantren. My hope is that one day, there will be santri from Darul Amanah who can serve as legislative members and continue the relay of national leadership,” he said.
