Darul Amanah Islamic Boarding School Students Embark on Educational Visit to Parliament Complex

Dozens of santri from the Darul Amanah Islamic Boarding School in Sukorejo, Kendal, made an educational visit to the DPR-MPR RI complex in Central Jakarta, aimed at broadening the students’ national awareness and allowing them to interact directly with the state’s high institutions.

“We affirm that this educational visit holds crucial meaning for the character formation and national awareness of the santri,” said the leader of the Darul Amanah Islamic Boarding School, KH Muhammad Fatwa, in Jakarta on Tuesday.

According to him, direct experience interacting with the state’s high institutions will open up new horizons of thinking for the younger generation of the pesantren.

“Through this visit, the santri can learn firsthand how the people’s representatives work to fight for the aspirations of the people,” he said.

He hoped the visit would foster strong motivation and lofty ambitions among the santri. Upon graduating, they would be ready to build careers in society, become trustworthy people’s representatives, defend the voice of the people, and fully dedicate themselves to the homeland.

He said that through this series of state visits, the OSDA officials were expected to absorb leadership skills directly through experiential learning and broaden their national outlook.

“We hope the santri will pass on this positive spirit to thousands of other students within the Darul Amanah Boarding School campus in Kendal,” he said.

Meanwhile, Member of the DPR’s Commission VI for Electoral District 1 of Central Java, Firnando Hadityo Ganinduto, expressed his high appreciation and admiration for the existence of the Darul Amanah Islamic Boarding School.

“Darul Amanah is a large pesantren. My hope is that one day a santri from Darul Amanah will sit as a member of the legislature and carry on the nation’s leadership relay,” he said.
