Daop 2 states 30% discount and WFA key to even return flow
Bandung (ANTARA) - PT Kereta Api Indonesia Daerah Operasi (Daop) 2 Bandung states that the Work From Anywhere (WFA) policy and ticket discounts of up to 30% are the main keys to the even distribution of the Lebaran 2026 return flow in the region.
KAI Daop 2 Bandung Public Relations Manager Kuswardojo explained that based on monitoring data up to Saturday, the distribution of long-distance train passenger arrivals at all stations in the Daop 2 area is stable, with no extreme spikes piling up on a particular day.
“We observe a more even distribution of the return flow compared to previous years. This is inseparable from government policies on WFA for several institutions, so the public does not have to return simultaneously,” said Kuswardojo in Bandung on Saturday.
In addition to work flexibility, the proactive “jemput bola” strategy through price stimuli has become a differentiating factor. As many as 83,924 customers have been recorded utilising the 30% tariff discount for commercial economy class.
Kuswardojo added that KAI is also running the “Silaturahmi” promotion in the form of a 20% price cut for departures from Daop 2 Bandung, covering flagship trains such as KA Argo Wilis, Turangga, Malabar, Mutiara Selatan, Lodaya, Harina, Ciremai, up to the Bandung-Solo Balapan Additional Train.
Purchases of these promotional tickets are still open until 1 April 2026 through all official KAI channels. Daop 2 urges the public to continue utilising this programme to plan a more comfortable return journey and avoid dense queues at stations.
