PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Daop 2 Bandung has revealed that 233,872 train tickets for the 2026 Lebaran exodus were sold out by 12 March 2026. The total capacity comprised 345,840 seats, averaging 15,720 seats per day.

The Director of Operations at PT KAI, Awan Hermawan Purwadinata, stated that KAI Daop 2 Bandung had prepared 345,840 seats. The total included 28 train journeys daily, consisting of 24 regular train services, two additional Lodaya trains, one additional Kiaracondong-Surabaya Gubeng service, and one additional Kutojaya Selatan train.

“Train ticket sales during the Lebaran transport period from the Daop 2 Bandung region have reached 233,872 tickets, or approximately 67.6 per cent of the total capacity provided,” he said following a staff briefing at the KAI Daop 2 Bandung office on Friday (13 March 2026).

He noted that a promotional ticket programme offering a 30 per cent discount also received strong public support, with a total of 54,462 promotional tickets sold.

Awan continued that several trains recorded the highest sales during this year’s Lebaran transport period, including the Kahuripan train, the additional Kiaracondong-Surabaya Gubeng service, the Cikuray train, the Kutojaya Selatan train, the Malabar train, and the Harina train.

He stated that the high public interest in train travel demonstrates that rail remains the primary choice for people travelling during the 2026 Lebaran exodus and return. KAI, he said, has undertaken comprehensive preparations and ensured all services operate safely and reliably throughout the exodus and return periods.

“Through this 2026 Lebaran transport command post, KAI declares full readiness to serve customers who will celebrate Eid al-Fitr 2026 with their families,” he said.

He added that in the KAI Daop 2 Bandung region there are 54 stations serving train journeys during the 2026 Lebaran transport period. Additionally, ticket cancellation services are available at five stations.
