Danish envoy returns home
JAKARTA: Danish Ambassador to Indonesia Geert Aagaard Andersen left Indonesia on Saturday after serving here for almost four years, a source at the Royal Danish Embassy said.
Ambassador Andersen, who submitted his credentials to then president Megawati Soekarnoputri on Sept. 13, 2001, served his full term in Jakarta.
Several Indonesian officials, businessmen, and diplomatic cops last week bid farewell to Andersen during a reception. He returned to Copenhagen and he is expected to stay some time there. -- JP
