Daniel Radcliffe Interested in Playing Wolverine?
For a long time, netizens have been suggesting that actor Daniel Radcliffe would be a good fit for the role of Wolverine. Daniel’s short and muscular physique is considered to be a good match for the Wolverine character in the comics.
Recently, photos of Daniel looking muscular have also circulated, making the rumours even more widespread. It turns out that Daniel is actually interested in playing Wolverine.
However, he feels that replacing Hugh Jackman is impossible. He actually feels relieved that he wasn’t chosen.
“To be honest, you would be considered foolish if you didn’t consider such an offer. But if they really want to find another Wolverine, being the one who has to follow (replace) Hugh Jackman is not on my bucket list for anything,” said Daniel, as reported by ComicBook on Monday (23/2/2026), quoted from detikPop.
“That (rumour) is completely untrue. It was never real at all. It’s just a very fun internet rumour. I’m glad to hear it, but it was never suggested by anyone who had the power to make it happen,” he continued.
According to Daniel, Hugh has made the character too closely associated with himself. So, whoever replaces Hugh will end up making Wolverine a different character.
“For any role that belongs to him, especially a role that he has made the most iconic in his career, I am glad that I did not do it and let him continue to do it.”
For him, seeing Hugh Jackman return in the Deadpool & Wolverine film is the best choice for everyone. The Harry Potter actor seems to be aware of his own limitations, and even if he was physically suited for the role, he prefers to be a fan sitting comfortably in the cinema.
