The South Sulawesi High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati) has executed the sentence against Mira Hayati, a convicted dangerous cosmetics offender, transferring her to Makassar Correctional Facility to serve a two-year prison term following the Supreme Court’s verdict.

“The convicted dangerous cosmetics offender, Mira Hayati, was executed today after the prosecutor received a copy of the ruling from the Makassar District Court,” said the Head of the South Sulawesi High Prosecutor’s Office, Didik Farkhan Alisyahdi, to reporters on Wednesday (18 February).

The owner of the MH cosmetics brand was collected by the prosecutor’s office from her home in Makassar, then brought to the South Sulawesi High Prosecutor’s Office for processing, including a medical examination.

“This execution is a follow-up to the cassation ruling from the Supreme Court dated 19 December 2025, which has obtained permanent legal force (inkrah),” he explained.

Based on the ruling, Mira Hayati was found guilty of violating Article 435 of Republic of Indonesia Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health. Didik stated that the prosecutor was therefore obliged to immediately carry out the execution against the convicted party.

“For her actions, the convicted party was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment and a fine of Rp 1 billion, with a subsidiary of two months’ confinement,” he said.

During the trial proceedings at the Makassar District Court, the panel of judges had handed down a sentence of 10 months’ imprisonment against Mira Hayati.

“The prosecutor then filed an appeal and the Makassar High Court increased the sentence to four years’ imprisonment,” he disclosed.

After undergoing processing, Mira Hayati was subsequently escorted to Makassar Correctional Facility to serve her two-year sentence.
