'Dangdut' show in Ancol

JAKARTA (Antara): The management of Ancol Dream Land
recreational park in North Jakarta said Tuesday it was preparing
special attractions, including a dangdut show and door prizes for
visitors during the Idul Fitri holiday from Feb. 8 to 16.

The management said it would present many noted dangdut
singers. Dangdut is the most popular music among the middle to
lower classes. It has a characteristic strong beat reminiscent of
Hindi and Arabic music.

The management also announced the recreational center would be
open to the public from 10:00 a.m. during the holiday.

The Moslem holidays will fall on Feb. 9 and Feb. 10.
