Dance festival at GKJ

Dance troupes from 29 provinces will perform at Jakarta Art
House (GKJ) at a national dance festival from Aug. 8 through Aug.
12, 2005.

The annual festival is organized to commemorate the 60th
anniversary of independence and to boost patriotism and heroism.

All the dance performances are new creations based on local
traditions.

This festival will give awards for the best performer, best
choreographer, best music arranger, best artistic director and
dance group with the most potential.
