Danareksa SOE Holding and KKP to Develop Batang Coastline, Integrating Industry with Marine Restoration
The agreement was signed on Friday by the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries’ Director General of Marine Spatial Planning Kartika Listriana and KITB Acting President Director Indri Septa Respati, witnessed by Danareksa SOE Holding President Director Ngurah Wirawan. It serves as a follow-up to the cooperation framework between the ministry and PT Danareksa (Persero) signed in July 2025.
Ngurah Wirawan stated the partnership translates policy agreements into concrete action on the ground. A good industrial estate must help safeguard its coastline, marine ecosystems, and the surrounding coastal communities. He described the holding’s role as an orchestrator that brings together expertise and resources so each party can play its part.
The agreement encompasses four scopes: the implementation of marine spatial planning, rehabilitation and restoration of coastal ecosystems, strengthening human resource capacity, and policy dissemination. One focus is blue carbon management through the conservation of coastal ecosystems such as mangroves, which act as carbon storage and protect the mainland.
This cooperation is part of Danareksa’s transformation into an integrated national industrial estate manager through the Kawasan Industri Indonesia initiative. The holding currently manages seven industrial estates totalling 7,800 hectares, housing more than 1,600 tenants from 25 countries and employing 300,000 people. KITB is a National Strategic Project designated as the Batang Industropolis Special Economic Zone through Government Regulation Number 12 of 2025.
