Danareksa distributes aid to communities affected by earthquake in NTT
PT Danareksa (Persero), together with seven members of its industrial estate holding, tenants, employees and partners, has successfully raised aid needed by communities affected by the earthquake in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
“As an industrial estate holding oriented towards value creation, we are committed to optimising our network, scale and business capacity as a force that delivers tangible benefits to society,” said President Director of PT Danareksa (Persero) Ngurah Wirawan in a statement in Jakarta on Friday.
According to him, the collection and distribution of aid was coordinated by PT Surabaya Industrial Estate Rungkut (SIER), a holding member located closest to the disaster site, so that all funds could be immediately converted into essential goods and sent to the field.
The cross-ecosystem collaboration is expected to accelerate the fulfilment of basic needs of affected communities while establishing an increasingly coordinated humanitarian response pattern across the entire Danareksa industrial estate network.
The funds raised, he said, were allocated to the most urgent needs according to requests from the command post, including 9.5 tonnes of rice, more than 1,100 portions of ready-to-eat meals, 300 litres of cooking oil, and more than 500 units of ready-to-drink milk and formula milk.
The aid also includes more than 200 units of rest equipment such as folding mattresses, pillows, sarongs and tarpaulins, plus more than 440 units of family hygiene necessities such as baby nappies, adult nappies, and toothbrushes and toothpaste.
“We are grateful that the industrial estate ecosystem, tenants, employees and partners moved collectively to support the acceleration of recovery for communities affected by the earthquake in NTT,” he said.
He explained that distribution was carried out in two stages, namely on 21 August 2026 through the BRI Peduli Earthquake Disaster Response Main Command Post in NTT together with InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) and the local regional disaster management agency (BPBD), then on 25 August 2026 through the East Java Provincial BPBD.
Meanwhile, Director of Finance, Administration and Risk Management of SIER Rizka Syafittri Siregar said that SIER ensured the entire process was carried out accountably and oriented towards the needs of the victims.
“We carry out the mandate as coordinator by ensuring aid is distributed according to field needs. The participation of holding members, tenants, employees and partners shows that care will produce a far greater impact when done together,” she said.
