BUMN holding Danareksa, together with all members of the holding, has simultaneously distributed 1,000 Ramadan assistance packages to the disability community across five cities: Jakarta, Pasuruan, Demak, Makassar, and Medan.

The social programme, implemented during the holy month of Ramadan, forms part of Danareksa BUMN holding’s commitment to supporting equitable social welfare distribution and strengthening human resources.

The activity is conducted through the Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSER) programme, involving all holding members in a synergistic ecosystem.

Agus Widjaja, Corporate Secretary of Danareksa BUMN holding, stated that the simultaneous distribution of assistance across various regions was undertaken to expand the reach and impact of the company’s social programmes, particularly for vulnerable groups.

“As a holding oriented towards value creation and welfare, we orchestrate all holding members so that social initiatives carried out have greater scale and measurable impact,” said Agus in a written statement.

According to him, the activity also represents the company’s commitment to providing direct benefits to society, especially groups that have not yet been fully reached by various assistance programmes.

“The simultaneous distribution across these five regions is concrete evidence of Danareksa BUMN holding’s commitment to providing direct benefit to the broader community, particularly vulnerable groups that are often not reached by regular programmes,” he said.

The Ramadan assistance programme involved various members of Danareksa BUMN holding, including PT Medan Industrial Estate, PT Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung, PT Nusantara Bonded Zone, PT Wijayakusuma Industrial Estate, PT Integrated Batang Industrial Estate, PT Surabaya Industrial Estate Rungkut, and PT Makassar Industrial Estate.

Additionally, the programme was supported by several other companies within the holding ecosystem, such as PT Nindya Karya, PT Asset Management Company, PT Indonesia Futures Clearing, PT Nusantara Payment Network, PT Danareksa Finance, PT Danareksa Capital, and PT Balai Pustaka.

Agus explained that synergy between companies within one holding is key to enabling social programmes to be implemented more broadly and in a coordinated manner. The selection of five cities as distribution locations also reflects the operational reach of holding members spread across various regions of Indonesia.

To ensure assistance reached the right targets, Danareksa BUMN holding partnered with Alunjiva Indonesia, a community organisation working on disability empowerment.

Through this collaboration, the distribution of assistance packages could reach groups of people who truly needed support.

Fany Efrita, Co-Founder of Alunjiva Indonesia, expressed appreciation for the collaboration with Danareksa BUMN holding in channelling assistance to the disability community.

According to her, cooperation between the corporate sector and social communities is an important step to expand the impact of community empowerment programmes.

“Collaboration like this demonstrates that active participation from all holding members can create wider impact and reach more people in need,” said Fany.

She valued the involvement of various companies within one holding ecosystem as strengthening efforts to empower the disability community, which has long faced various access limitations.

Beyond providing direct assistance in the form of Ramadan necessity packages, the activity is also expected to increase social awareness towards the disability group in society.

Agus emphasised that the CSER programme carried out by Danareksa BUMN holding focuses not only on short-term assistance activities, but is also directed to support the creation of a more inclusive social ecosystem.

“Through this initiative, Danareksa BUMN holding is committed to continuing to promote CSER programmes that foster a just, inclusive, and empowering social ecosystem,” he said.

With this activity, Danareksa BUMN holding hopes that the Ramadan momentum can serve as a means to strengthen social solidarity and increase awareness towards segments of society that require greater attention, including people with disabilities.
