Danantara's Single-Export Scheme to Begin 1 September, Rosan Reveals Mechanism

Chief Executive Officer of the Investment Management Agency (BPI) Danantara, Rosan Roeslani, has explained the scheme to be implemented by PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI). He clarified that DSI will not completely take over all trading activities.

According to him, exporters can still conduct direct sales to buyers abroad, while DSI will act as a sales agent and monitor trade until 1 September 2026. “Currently we are still evaluating, the next step will be to act as a single sales agent, but other exports can still be carried out between exporters and others,” Rosan said on Monday (20/7/2026).

He stated that DSI aims to conduct monitoring so that practices of under-invoicing and transfer pricing can be detected directly. DSI’s role in this is to monitor trade reports from companies. Rosan noted that companies can currently still make sales and negotiate long-term contracts.

“But in the long term, pricing is usually not yet determined, now we can ensure it. We (DSI) can see whether the pricing is in line with the market or below the market price, because what has been happening so far is that it is below the index price,” Rosan said.

Rosan also explained that with DSI, the government can monitor the price difference applied by exporters. He cited the example of RBD Olein, where a large price gap has been discovered. “Usually, between the declared price at the time of sale and the index, there has always been a gap (difference),” he stated.
