Danantara Uncovers Alleged Financial Engineering, Begins Clean-Up at PT Pos Indonesia

The Danantara Indonesia Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) has commenced a clean-up process to address various financial and governance issues that have accumulated over the years at PT Pos Indonesia, including indications of alleged financial engineering. This move is intended to restore PT Pos Indonesia to a healthy, professional, accountable company with integrity, enabling it to optimally carry out its mandate for the public. Managing Director of Stakeholders Management & Communications Rohan Hafas emphasised that Danantara will not tolerate any practices that undermine corporate governance. “Because of that, we must resolve the issues that have been burdening the company one by one. There is no room for practices that damage corporate governance. All findings will be followed up professionally, transparently, and in accordance with legal processes,” Rohan stated in a written statement on Friday (3/7/2026). The indications of alleged financial engineering were uncovered through a due diligence and comprehensive evaluation process conducted by Danantara on PT Pos Indonesia. Rohan added that the indications of irregularities are currently being followed up through audit and investigation mechanisms in accordance with applicable regulations. “PT Pos Indonesia is currently undergoing a thorough overhaul. From the ongoing due diligence and evaluation process, we found various financial and governance issues that have accumulated over the years. We also received reports and found indications of various irregularities, including alleged financial engineering, which are currently being followed up through audit and investigation mechanisms in accordance with applicable regulations,” Rohan concluded.
