Danantara Transformation Drives Profit Surge at State-Owned Enterprises

The transformation carried out by Danantara Indonesia has begun to yield significant results in the financial performance of several State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN). As of April 2026, the majority of BUMN within the Danantara management ecosystem have recorded profit growth, with some previously loss-making companies successfully achieving a turnaround.

Managing Director of Stakeholders Management and Communications at Danantara Indonesia, Rohan Hafas, stated that the achievements throughout 2025 to early 2026 reflect the resilience and tangible outcomes of the transformation agenda across various strategic sectors.

According to data from the Danantara Indonesia report, Pertamina was the largest contributor to the nominal profit increase, while Pupuk Indonesia recorded the highest percentage growth at 202 per cent. In the construction sector, PT Adhi Karya also showed a positive trend with a profit of Rp69 billion, up from Rp60 billion in the previous period.

Beyond profit growth, capital support from Danantara Asset Management (DAM) has proven effective in pushing several BUMN out of the red zone. Rohan emphasised that this list highlights standout performances and that many other BUMN within the Danantara ecosystem are also showing positive developments. The consolidated financial report for Danantara Indonesia for 2025 is currently under audit and will be published in accordance with applicable regulations.

Danantara Indonesia has also begun realising its investment mandate using BUMN dividends from 2025. The investment focus is directed towards national strategic projects. All investment steps are carried out under the principles of good corporate governance (GCG), investment discipline, and prudent risk management to create long-term value for the state.
