JAKARTA – Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Danantara Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara), Rosan Roeslani, said Danantara will be involved in the decision-making of the Financial System Stability Committee (KSSK) following the resignation of Bank Indonesia (BI) Governor Perry Warjiyo.

“So the KSSK has been asked to involve Danantara in each of its decisions, so that these have a direct impact on the economy and the business world, not only from the fiscal and monetary side,” said Rosan after a limited meeting with President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Monday (27/7/2026).

Rosan said Danantara’s involvement in the KSSK aims to strengthen policy coordination in the financial sector so that it considers not only fiscal and monetary aspects, but also the impact on the economy and the business world.

“So it is more about the whole ecosystem. The direction is a KSSK plus, plus Danantara,” said Rosan.

He said the instruction was conveyed by President Prabowo after holding a limited meeting with several parties, including acting BI Governor Destry Damayanti.

When asked whether Danantara would also attend the government’s routine economic team meetings, Rosan confirmed it would.

“Yes, that was the instruction earlier,” said Rosan.

Earlier, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said the government had received Perry Warjiyo’s resignation letter as BI Governor. For the time being, the post is held by BI Senior Deputy Governor Destry Damayanti as acting governor.

Rosan emphasised that Danantara did not propose any candidate for the permanent BI Governor post. According to him, appointing a candidate for BI Governor is the President’s authority.

“Oh no, that is the President’s prerogative,” said Rosan.

Perry Warjiyo resigned as BI Governor after leading the central bank for approximately seven years. The government said the resignation was voluntary and for personal reasons. The process of filling the permanent BI Governor post will follow the mechanism stipulated by laws and regulations.
