Danantara to Invest Heavily as 18 Towers Prepared for Cikarang Development
CEO Danantara Indonesia Rosan Roeslani has reaffirmed Danantara’s commitment to developing vertical residential housing in Cikarang, West Java, with plans to deliver 18 towers on land donated by Lippo Group.
The estimated investment in the project reaches Rp14 to Rp16 trillion, forming part of the development of 140,000 vertical housing units for low-income communities (MBR).
“The construction value for this 12.8-hectare site is planned to comprise 18 towers total. Based on calculations for buildings with approximately 32 storeys each, the range is estimated between Rp14 trillion to Rp16 trillion,” said Rosan.
Danantara is providing full support for this vertical housing development as the project aligns with the 3 Million Homes Programme target and is believed capable of addressing the gap between housing demand and supply.
In implementation, Danantara will engage state-owned enterprises (BUMN) and collaborate with private contractors. “We will collaborate, and that is Danantara’s role in this project,” he affirmed.
Following a review, the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) together with Danantara Indonesia will continue the concept maturation process for the development, including drawing up a residential area development scheme, pricing determination mechanisms, and formulating concepts and criteria for purchases by low-income communities.
