Strengthening investment and applying technological innovation in national industry will be the focus of the Danantara Technology Innovation Investment Forum (DTIIF) 2026, scheduled to take place from 26 to 28 October 2026 at the Fairmont Jakarta. Initiated by Danantara Indonesia, the event is designed to bring together players in strategic national industries with investors and international technology and research networks. More than 1,500 participants from various sectors are expected to attend.

They include representatives from 50 state-owned enterprises (SOEs), 131 international technology company chief executives, 170 innovators, and 67 research centres and Nobel laureates. The gathering of these stakeholders is intended to encourage the use of innovations in industrial activity. Through the forum, Danantara is prioritising the commercialisation of technology and its direct application in productive sectors.

Over its three days, DTIIF 2026 will discuss six strategic sector groups. These include energy; agriculture and food; healthcare; advanced materials and semiconductors; transport and infrastructure; finance and banking; and artificial intelligence (AI), digital infrastructure and telecommunications.

The programme will include not only plenary discussions and public lectures by Nobel laureates, but also project presentations, business partnership discussions and bilateral meetings involving policymakers, SOEs and foreign investors. Global technology companies, including Google and Microsoft, are among those expected to be represented. The participation of industry players and investors is expected to support the exploration of partnerships addressing the needs of Indonesia’s strategic sectors.

Danantara targets concrete partnerships

Danantara Indonesia Chief Technology Officer and DTIIF 2026 chair Sigit Puji Santosa said technology investment needed to result in innovation being applied at industrial scale. In his view, the benefits of investment should not stop at developing ideas but must be translated into productive capacity. In a statement on Monday (19 October 2026), Sigit outlined Danantara’s view of the relationship between investment, industrialisation and competitiveness.

“For Danantara Indonesia, investment must drive the adoption and industrialisation of innovation on a large scale. By turning breakthroughs into real capacity, we can increase productivity, strengthen competitiveness and create jobs,” Sigit said. The emphasis on tangible outcomes is also reflected in the measures of success set for the forum.

Danantara aims for the meetings to lead to investment partnerships being realised and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) being signed for concrete projects after the event. Sigit stressed that follow-up was an important part of DTIIF 2026. Partnerships formed, agreements and lists of potential projects will continue to be monitored after the programme concludes.

“The true success of DTIIF will be measured by what is built after the Forum ends. Every partnership, MoU and project pipeline from this Forum will be followed up, so that the commitments made can lead to projects with a real impact,” he said.

With this approach, DTIIF 2026 is intended to connect business meetings with actionable investment opportunities. The realisation of partnerships and progress on projects after the forum will serve as Danantara’s benchmarks for assessing the event’s outcomes.
