Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — The Investment Management Agency (BPI) Daya Anagata Nusantara (Danantara) is planning to explore cooperation with Japan.

Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani said his organisation has established a partnership with the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC). He explained that JBIC will provide long-term financing for new and renewable energy projects, as well as sustainability-oriented projects, particularly in green energy.

"We are seeing trust from the outside world, from other countries, their financial markets, banking sectors, and overseas investors — the response to Danantara has been very positive. This has become good momentum that we want to continue maintaining," Rosan said at the House of Representatives building on Wednesday (23 July 2025).

He said Danantara aims to consistently maintain good governance based on "world-class operations" and "investment" principles.

Rosan noted that Danantara had previously established a new joint fund worth US$4 billion with Qatar. In addition, partnerships have been formed with the China Investment Corporation (CIC) and the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).

Furthermore, he said Danantara has also held discussions with the Public Investment Fund (PIF), Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund.
