Danantara to Drive Transformation of State-Owned Hospitals
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Danantara is driving a thorough transformation of PT Indonesia Healthcare Corporation (IHC) to build a healthcare company of global standard through the strengthening of management, business processes, governance, facilities, and the development of world-class talent.
“What the government expects from IHC is to perform a fundamental transformation of our hospitals under IHC. I remind you, the transformation must not be half-hearted,” said the Head of the State-Owned Enterprise Agency and COO of Danantara, Dony Oskaria, in an official statement confirmed by ANTARA in Jakarta on Friday.
The IHC transformation is directed to cover all pillars of business and healthcare services, ranging from service quality, facilities, and medical equipment, to the strengthening of human resource competence.
The transformation began with a Fundamental Business Review to evaluate the business model, market conditions, and IHC’s internal capabilities as the basis for drafting the transformation roadmap.
Improving service quality is one of the main focuses of the IHC transformation. Hospitals under IHC are expected to be able to provide services, facilities, medical equipment, and patient experiences that meet the best global standards.
“What we expect is for service quality to increase, for the services to be good, and for the equipment to be the best,” said Dony.
As a concrete step, Dony explained that Pertamina Central Hospital (RSPP) will be developed as a prototype hospital and an icon of the IHC transformation. RSPP is expected to become a landmark demonstrating a new standard in the quality of facilities, medical equipment, services, and patient experience.
“We will begin transforming from Pertamina Hospital, which will become our icon,” said Dony.
Through an integrated transformation, strengthened governance, improved service quality and facilities, and the support of world-class talent, IHC is being prepared to become an increasingly competitive healthcare company capable of competing with leading global health institutions.
