Jakarta - Danantara Chief Operating Officer Dony Oskaria has revealed that the company is currently building an integrated, world-class human resources management system across the entire state-owned enterprise (BUMN) ecosystem.

“I hope that by 2028 and beyond, all directors, CEOs, and so on will be individuals who have grown from within the company. This is what will ensure the sustainability of our companies going forward,” said Dony, who also serves as Head of BP BUMN, in an official statement confirmed on Sunday.

The system begins with the implementation of a Single Grading System and Job Value to harmonise the assessment and job classification systems across all corporate groups. Additionally, Danantara is implementing a Job Requirement and Competency Matrix as the basis for talent placement. Through this system, every position will be filled based on competence, qualifications, and objective assessment results, leaving no room for placement practices based on personal preference.

As part of strengthening leadership, Danantara is also establishing the Danantara Corporate University, which will serve as a development centre for around 300 top BUMN talents. Participants will be equipped with uniform standards of competency, leadership, and soft skills to prepare future company leaders.

Through this system, Danantara is targeting that all strategic positions within the BUMN environment in the future can be filled by talents who have grown and developed from within the companies. Dony stressed that building talent is the primary responsibility of every CEO so that the transformations already underway can continue and become the foundation for the next generation of leaders.

“Everything must be talents that we develop. That is our responsibility as a CEO,” said Dony. He emphasised that the transformation of BUMNs is not only aimed at improving current company performance but also at building a foundation for long-term sustainability, in line with the direction of President Prabowo Subianto.

Although the transformation has driven performance improvements in a number of BUMNs, Dony stressed that this success must be supported by sustainable human resource development. According to him, strong leadership is the key to ensuring that companies continue to grow and are able to face future challenges. “What actually distinguishes a CEO from a manager is their commitment to the sustainability of a company,” Dony concluded.
