Danantara Indonesia’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) Dony Oskaria stated the management board of PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI) will be announced next week. Dony, at a press conference in Jakarta on Sunday, 31 May 2026, revealed that the rigorous selection process for human resources of the state-owned enterprise (BUMN) responsible for managing national strategic commodity exports is currently underway.

“A strict selection process is ongoing, and God willing, next week Danantara will announce several names to join the team,” Dony said.

The man, who is also the Head of the BUMN Regulatory Body (BP), stated that Danantara is receiving support from other strategic stakeholders for PT DSI’s human resources, including the Ministry of Finance (MoF), Ministry of Trade (MoT), and the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM.

“This is not being handled independently by Danantara; we also expect support from all stakeholders involved in the process of managing our exports, particularly of natural resources in the future,” Dony said.

In addition to preparing talent for PT DSI’s implementation during its six-month transition period, Dony confirmed Danantara is also developing a supporting technology system for the state-owned enterprise.

“Regarding technology, we are developing a robust system. This is a significant trust placed by the Indonesian people to manage our natural resources to maximise benefits,” Dony said.

“Therefore, Danantara Indonesia will strive to the best of our ability and be accountable to the Indonesian public in implementing this programme,” he added.

Meanwhile, PT DSI has been specifically tasked by the government to manage and supervise transactions of strategic natural resource exports, initially focusing on coal, crude palm oil (CPO), and ferro alloy.

PT DSI’s implementation transition period will run from 1 June to 31 December 2026. During this time, DSI, along with relevant stakeholders including entrepreneurs, will discuss strategic matters, including commodity benchmark pricing.
