The streamlining of 250 state-owned enterprises (BUMN) is targeted for completion by the end of July 2026. This was conveyed by Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM and CEO of Danantara, Rosan Roeslani, on Monday, 27 July 2026.

Rosan stated that the BUMN streamlining process was reported to President Prabowo Subianto during a meeting at the Presidential Palace. “I was asked to speak, to report on updates regarding several matters related to Danantara. Among them, we updated the streamlining of BUMN companies,” said Rosan.

“Essentially, by the end of this month, the streamlining will have reached 250, possibly even exceeding 250 companies,” he added.

Rosan explained that the consolidation process has been carried out in several sectors, such as the merger of asset management in banking and the financial sector, including PNM. “Like the merger of asset management in banking, in the financial sector, PNM, that has also been done,” said Rosan.

Danantara is also continuing consolidation in the logistics sector. Meanwhile, the merger process for hospital and hospitality businesses will be accelerated. “Then also in the logistics sector. The merger in the hospital and hospitality sectors is also being further accelerated,” he revealed.

Rosan has not yet provided further details on the final number of BUMN companies after the entire streamlining process is complete, nor the overall target timeline for the consolidation.
