Danantara Supervisory Board Discusses RKAT Changes and DSI Formation

The Danantara Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) held a coordination meeting with its Supervisory Board at Wisma Danantara on Thursday (6/8/2026). One of the main agendas was discussing changes to the Annual Work Plan and Budget (RKAT) following several priority government policies, including the establishment of PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI) and the Danantara Development Management Fund (DDMF). Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, who serves as a member of the BPI Danantara Supervisory Board, stated that the RKAT changes are necessary to align with the new policies being implemented by the government. “Earlier, we discussed the RKAT and the changes to the RKAT due to several prioritised policies, including the establishment of DSI and DDMF. So, everything will be adjusted,” Airlangga said after the meeting at Wisma Danantara on Thursday (6/8/2026). He explained that the process of establishing DSI is still ongoing. Currently, the budgeting and organisational structure are being prepared. “It is now in process, so the budgeting and the format of the board of directors and commissioners have been completed,” he said. However, Airlangga was not yet willing to disclose when the composition of DSI’s board of directors and commissioners would be announced. “Not yet, in due time,” he said. When asked about the possibility of adding commodities to be managed by DSI, Airlangga said the matter was still under evaluation. “We will evaluate it first,” he said. In addition, Airlangga also touched on the progress of resolving the funding for the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Rail (KCIC) project. According to him, a decision regarding the settlement scheme has been agreed upon with the Minister of Finance and has been communicated to the Chinese side. “Regarding KCIC, a decision has also been made with the Minister of Finance,” Airlangga said. When asked whether the decision had been conveyed to the Chinese side, he answered, “Already.” He added that the response from the Chinese side regarding the settlement was positive. “Yes, the settlement is always good,” he said. Meanwhile, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, who is also a member of the Danantara Supervisory Board, stated that the meeting was a routine coordination session between the Danantara Executive Body and the Supervisory Board. “Today is just a routine coordination meeting between the BPI Danantara Executive Body and the BPI Danantara Supervisory Board,” Prasetyo said. Prasetyo also responded to questions regarding the KCIC funding scheme. He said the payment burden would be borne by the Ministry of Finance, while the implementation mechanism would be arranged further. “The Ministry of Finance will bear it,” he said. When asked whether the scheme would not use the state budget (APBN), Prasetyo simply said, “Yes, the scheme will be arranged by Mr Purbaya later.”
