The Investment Management Agency Daya Anagata Nusantara (BPI Danantara) has officially carried out the signing of the status change for PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (PT DSI) to a state-owned enterprise (SOE). As known, PT DSI was established as the government’s effort to implement a one-stop export system for commodities such as coal, palm oil, and iron alloys or ferroalloys. The status change signing was revealed on the official Instagram account of BPI Danantara CEO Rosan P Roeslani (@rosanroeslani). The signing was conducted by Danantara CEO Rosan, CIO Pandu Sjahrir, and COO Dony Oskaria. In his Instagram post, Rosan stated that the establishment of the special export SOE, PT DSI, is primarily for transaction transparency. ‘Our presence aims to further refine export data distortions that may have occurred previously,’ he said, quoted on Monday (25 May 2026). Previously, Rosan announced that Luke Thomas Mahony has been appointed as President Director of PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI). Rosan noted Thomas’s experience at PT Vale Indonesia Tbk and his long-standing career in trade, deeming him qualified to lead PT DSI. He also highlighted Thomas’s long residence in Indonesia. ‘We considered various factors, including his track record and deep understanding of the industry. His prior experience at multinational companies like Vale, fluency in Indonesian, and his Indonesian wife all contributed to the decision,’ Rosan said at the Presidential Palace Complex on Friday (22 May 2026). ‘But most importantly, his trading experience, minerals expertise, leadership roles in mineral companies, strong networking, and excellent work at Danantara so far all made him the ideal choice,’ he added.
