Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia Officially Becomes State-Owned Enterprise - detikFinance
PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI) has officially become a state-owned enterprise (BUMN) today, Monday 25 May 2026. The company has been tasked with managing the export of strategic natural resources.
“Today it has officially become a BUMN, as the process requires 1% state ownership with special authority. It is now a BUMN,” said Dony Oskaria, Chief Operating Officer of BPI Danantara, at the Parliament Complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Monday, 25 May 2026.
Dony said the export scheme to be implemented by DSI is still being finalised. He assured that the details of DSI’s operational mechanisms would be provided once the entire process is completed.
“The key point is that it has become a BUMN; details will be provided later,” he explained.
DSI is an entity tasked with regulating the management of natural resource commodity exports. Its establishment follows the issuance of Government Regulation (PP) on the Governance of Natural Resource Commodity Exports through State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).
The regulation aims to strengthen export oversight, prevent manipulation practices such as under-invoicing and transfer pricing, and curb foreign exchange leakage from exports (DHE).
Under this policy, the export of strategic commodities such as palm oil, coal, and fero alloy must be conducted through government-designated BUMNs.
