Danantara Strengthens SOE Synergy to Support Red and White Village Cooperatives

Head of the State-Owned Enterprises Supervisory Board (BP BUMN) and Chief Operating Officer of Danantara, Dony Oskaria, is strengthening synergy among state-owned enterprises to support the operations of the Red and White Village Cooperatives (KDKMP) so they can provide more extensive and effective services to rural communities. “Currently, the integration of KDKMP is still in its early stages, so there are things that need to be refined. Going forward, we will continue to improve so that the system is more organised, services are more comprehensive, and rural communities can directly feel the benefits,” he said in a statement confirmed by ANTARA from Tanimbar, Maluku, on Thursday. KDKMP is being prepared to become an economic driver as well as an integrated service centre for village communities. Through a network of cooperatives spread across various regions, KDKMP is expected to strengthen the distribution of various essential goods, ranging from 3 kg LPG canisters, SPHP rice, Minyakita cooking oil, to subsidised fertilisers. In addition to being a distribution centre for essential goods, KDKMP will also provide various services that make life easier for rural communities, such as the distribution of Mekaar financing, BRILink banking services, and access to logistics through Pos Indonesia. The presence of these various services is expected to broaden community access to financial services, logistics, and basic needs within a single integrated ecosystem. To support KDKMP, Dony Oskaria held a meeting with the directors of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Pupuk Indonesia, PTPN IV, RNI (ID FOOD), Bulog, and Agrinas Palma. The meeting discussed strengthening synergy among state-owned enterprises to support KDKMP operations so they can provide more extensive and effective services to village communities. According to Dony, cross-SOE synergy is the first step towards continuously improving KDKMP services so that the benefits can be felt more widely by the community. Through this cross-SOE collaboration, KDKMP is expected not only to become a distribution centre for essential goods but also to develop into a centre of village economic activity that can improve community access to financial services, logistics, financing, and various empowerment programmes. This effort is part of the government’s commitment to strengthening the people’s economy while providing services that are closer, easier, and more equitable for communities throughout Indonesia.
