Danantara Strengthens SOE Synergy to Support Red and White Village Cooperatives

Tanimbar, Maluku (ANTARA) - The head of the SOE Ministry and COO of Danantara, Dony Oskaria, is strengthening synergy among state-owned enterprises (SOEs) to support the operations of the Red and White Village/Urban Village Cooperatives (KDKMP), so that they can provide increasingly broad and effective services to rural communities.

“At present, the integration of KDKMP is still at an early stage, so there are still aspects that need refinement. Going forward, we will continue to improve so that the system becomes more orderly, the services more comprehensive, and villagers can feel the benefits directly,” said Dony in a statement confirmed by ANTARA from Tanimbar, Maluku, on Thursday.

KDKMP is being prepared as one of the drivers of the economy as well as an integrated service centre for rural communities.

Through its cooperative network spread across various regions, KDKMP is expected to strengthen the distribution of various essential goods, ranging from 3 kg LPG, SPHP rice, Minyakita cooking oil, to subsidised fertiliser.

Beyond serving as a distribution hub for essential goods, KDKMP will also offer a range of services to make life easier for rural communities, such as the disbursement of Mekaar financing, BRILink banking services, and logistics access via Pos Indonesia.

The presence of these services is expected to broaden public access to financial services, logistics, and basic needs within a single integrated ecosystem.

To support KDKMP, Dony Oskaria held a meeting with the presidents directors of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Pupuk Indonesia, PTPN IV, RNI (ID FOOD), Bulog, and Agrinas Palma.

The meeting discussed strengthening cross-SOE synergy in supporting KDKMP operations so that it can deliver increasingly broad and effective services to rural communities.

According to Dony, cross-SOE synergy is a first step towards continually improving KDKMP services so that their benefits can be felt more widely by the public.

Through this cross-SOE collaboration, KDKMP is expected not only to serve as a distribution centre for essential goods, but also to develop into a hub of rural economic activity capable of improving people’s access to financial services, logistics, financing, and various empowerment programmes.

This effort forms part of the government’s commitment to strengthening the people’s economy whilst delivering services that are closer, easier, and more evenly distributed to communities across Indonesia.
