Danantara seeks to integrate SOE whistleblowing system with KPK

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) plans to integrate the whistleblowing system (WBS) across all State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) with the system owned by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) as partability of efforts to strengthen corruption prevention.

“What we hope for is integration. All SOEs must be integrated with the KPK,” said Danantara Chief Operating Officer (COO) Dony Oskaria following a meeting with the KPK at the KPK Anti-Corruption Education Centre, Jakarta, on Monday.

Dony stated that this integration is part of Danantara’s commitment to ensuring that the management of SOEs operates transparently and in accordance with good governance principles.

“Because we want these SOEs to be truly well-managed in the future and in accordance with existing governance,” he said.

In addition to the WBS integration, Danantara also reaffirmed its commitment to complying with the obligation to submit the Report on State Officials’ Wealth (LHKPN) in a timely manner.

He also expressed hope that the cooperation between Danantara and the KPK would not stop at the signing of a formal agreement, but would be realised through assistance and the strengthening of corruption prevention systems within the SOE environment.

“We hope that the relationship between the Deputy for Prevention and Danantara is not merely a written cooperation, but becomes part of the daily management of SOEs,” he said.

Meanwhile, the KPK Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring, Aminudin, stated that his agency is building collaboration with Danantara in various corruption prevention efforts.

According to him, the KPK will link the anti-corruption agency’s WBS system with the reporting systems within the SOE environment.

Furthermore, the KPK is also encouraging increased compliance in LHKPN reporting and the strengthening of an anti-corruption culture within Danantara and the SOEs.

Aminudin noted that the KPK is encouraging every work unit to have personnel certified as Anti-Corruption Educators (PAKSI), Integrity Builders (API), and Corruption Risk Assessment (CRA) experts to strengthen corruption prevention systems.

According to him, these steps are essential to ensure that regulations and governance within the SOE environment do not create opportunities for acts of corruption.
