Danantara Seeks KPK Assistance to Safeguard All Downstreaming Projects from Corruption
Jakarta – The Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) has requested assistance from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to oversee all of its projects, particularly those involving downstreaming.
“We have requested assistance from the Deputy to accompany us in various projects, especially the downstreaming projects currently underway,” said Danantara Chief Operating Officer Dony Oskaria at the KPK’s Anti-Corruption Education Centre in Jakarta on Monday, 29 June 2026.
Dony explained that the request was made to prevent corruption in every project undertaken by Danantara. “We do not want these projects to have any potential for corruption in their execution,” he stated.
He added that the request aligns with the expectations of the Indonesian public. “We want the work to be carried out properly and transparently, as this is the public’s hope,” Dony said.
He further clarified that the oversight from the KPK is expected to cover all projects, not just a select few. “It will not be on a one-by-one basis; we will mitigate all of them to prevent future risks. We certainly do not want such large investments to fail to yield maximum results,” he added.
On the same occasion, KPK Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring Aminudin stated that the anti-corruption body would establish a priority scale for matters requiring intervention. He noted that the Prevention and Monitoring Deputy would then present the matter to the KPK leadership to ensure a stronger legal basis for implementation.
In addition to project oversight, Danantara and the KPK also discussed the whistleblowing system and compliance with the State Officials’ Wealth Report (LHKPN).
