State-owned construction firm PT Hutama Karya (Persero) received a visit from the Board of Commissioners of PT Danantara Asset Management (DAM) to directly review the development of the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) area. DAM President Commissioner Rabin Indrajad Hattari stated that the review is part of overseeing a broader national strategic agenda.

“The development of Nusantara Capital City does not stand alone, but is connected to the larger agenda of strengthening the energy sector and downstreaming that we are overseeing. Reliable infrastructure is the backbone for the growth of new economic centres,” Rabin said in a written statement in Jakarta on Monday (29/6/2026).

Hutama Karya Director of Operations I Gunadi said the company welcomed the delegation and presented the progress of several assignments the company is working on in the area. According to Gunadi, a number of projects currently under construction are recording progress ahead of plan.

“As of May 2026, the IKN Toll Road Project Segment 5B, the Pulau Balang-Simpang Riko section, has reached 96.24 percent, while Segment 3A-2 Karangjoang-KKT Kariangau has reached 88.35 percent. Meanwhile, the construction of the IKN Judicial Area Road has reached 22.20 percent,” Gunadi said.

Gunadi said these achievements show that work implementation is on target for several project packages. In the high-level state institution building area, Gunadi continued, the construction of the Supreme Court Building and Justice Plaza as well as the MPR Building are still in the early stages of construction with progress of 7.26 percent and 6.01 percent respectively as of 24 June 2026.

Hutama Karya, Gunadi said, is carrying out a number of infrastructure development assignments in IKN which are National Strategic Projects. He affirmed the company’s commitment to executing every assignment with disciplined implementation and good governance, in line with support for the Government’s Asta Cita vision.

“We thank the Danantara Board of Commissioners for visiting to directly review the project progress in IKN,” Gunadi said.
