Danantara Reveals Reasons Behind Pos Indonesia CEO's Resignation, Hints at Financial Engineering Allegations
Danantara Indonesia has spoken out regarding the resignation of PT Pos Indonesia President Director Daud Joseph. Managing Director of Stakeholders Management & Communications at Danantara Indonesia, Rohan Hafas, stated that Danantara Indonesia received Daud’s resignation letter on Monday (29/6/2026).
“Over the past three months or so, we assigned him to lead the process of overhauling PT Pos Indonesia through a comprehensive due diligence of the company’s financial condition, operations, governance, and organisation,” Rohan said in a written statement in Jakarta on Friday (3/7/2026).
Based on the results of that assessment, Rohan continued, Daud conveyed that PT Pos Indonesia requires a thorough and fundamental revamp. According to Daud, the complexity of the problems faced and the future restructuring agenda require more specific expertise to lead the next phase of transformation.
“We respect that decision and will immediately prepare new leadership to continue the restructuring agenda,” Rohan stated.
Rohan explained that Danantara is currently undertaking a comprehensive overhaul of PT Pos Indonesia. Through the ongoing due diligence and evaluation process, Danantara discovered various financial and governance issues that have accumulated over many years.
Rohan said Danantara also received reports and found indications of various irregularities, including suspected financial engineering. These matters are currently being followed up through audit and investigation mechanisms in accordance with applicable regulations.
“Therefore, we must resolve one by one the issues that have been burdening the company. There is no room for practices that damage corporate governance,” Rohan said.
Rohan assured that all findings will be followed up professionally, transparently, and in accordance with legal processes. He emphasised that Danantara’s priority is to ensure PT Pos Indonesia once again becomes a healthy, professional, accountable company with integrity, so it can optimally carry out its mandate for the public.
