Danantara Prepares Merger and Restructuring Scheme for PTPP
BP BUMN together with BPI Danantara are accelerating the transformation of state-owned enterprises, including merging construction SOEs and carrying out restructuring.
Chief of BP BUMN and COO of Danantara, Dony Oskaria, has also held a meeting with the board of directors of PT PP (Persero) Tbk. (PTPP) to discuss the company’s transformation steps, including accelerating the merger and restructuring process.
In the meeting, Dony stressed that PT PP’s transformation process must be carried out thoroughly so that it does not drag on. Merger is one of the steps being pushed to strengthen business scale, improve efficiency, and build a more effective corporate structure.
“We need to be intense about restructuring and merger. Merger first, then restructuring. Let’s just merge them. We need to know how much must be absorbed, how much needs to be corrected in the books. But it must be completed, I don’t want it to be postponed,” said Dony, quoting from the official Instagram account of BP BUMN, Friday (21/8/2026).
The merger process will begin with a comprehensive arrangement of PT PP’s financial condition. Adjustments and corrections to the financial statements are needed to ensure the company’s position can be mapped transparently before entering the merger stage.
After the merger process is completed, the arrangement will continue through corporate restructuring. This step is directed so that PT PP can have a more focused business structure and be able to optimise potential in core businesses that have growth prospects.
The merger is also expected to enlarge the company’s scale through the consolidation of resources, capacity, and competencies. With a stronger scale, the company is expected to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness while strengthening the competitiveness of construction SOEs.
The series of transformations will be carried out with a business approach based on the company’s real condition. Financial arrangement, merger, and restructuring are part of efforts to build a healthier and more sustainable corporate foundation.
Through steps carried out thoroughly, PT PP is expected to have a more efficient and focused corporate structure so that it can optimise core business potential and improve the company’s performance going forward.
