Danantara Prepares Menara Danareksa as Temporary PFII Office
The Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (Danantara) is preparing Menara Danareksa in Jakarta as a temporary office for the Indonesia International Financial Centre (PFII). The facility will be used during a transition period before the main PFII area is built in Bali.
Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani explained that constructing the PFII area to meet international financial centre standards would take approximately two to three years. “We will use one of our buildings, and it happens that the Danareksa Tower is a new building, and that is the plan,” Rosan said at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Thursday (23/7).
This transition period will also be used to complete various institutional preparations, including the appointment of the area’s governor, management, and other necessary apparatus so the international financial centre can operate optimally. Rosan stated that Danantara will act as the developer for the PFII area in Bali.
“The financial centre will later be led by the area chairman and also by the governor. They will prepare all the necessary apparatus so the financial centre can function properly,” he said.
The Minister of Investment and Downstreaming indicated that investor interest in establishing the PFII is quite high. He shared his experience from a recent visit to Bali. “A few days ago I went to Bali and met with 11 investors from family offices and others. The response was very positive regarding the existence of this financial centre in Indonesia,” Rosan said.
