Danantara Prepares Housing Scheme to Sell Remaining State-Owned Enterprise Properties
Chief Executive Officer of Danantara and Minister of Investment and Downstreaming, Rosan Roeslani, has revealed that Danantara is preparing a Danantara Housing programme to accelerate the sale of houses and apartments owned by state-owned enterprises (BUMN) that have not yet been absorbed by the market. Through this programme, the public will have the opportunity to purchase housing built by BUMN with more competitive interest rate offers and lighter payment schemes. “There are several apartment or housing developments that have been built by BUMN but have not yet been sold, we will hold Danantara Housing,” said Rosan at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Monday. According to Rosan, the initiative is expected to accelerate the absorption of housing stock built by BUMN while expanding public access to home ownership. “So they can be purchased by the public with more attractive interest rates and better payment methods,” he said. Rosan has not yet disclosed the launch schedule or the financing value to be allocated in the Danantara Housing programme. However, he confirmed that the scheme is currently in the preparation stage to provide benefits to the public while optimising BUMN property assets that have not been successfully marketed.
