Danantara Indonesia, through PT Danantara Investment Management (DIM), has opened registration for the second wave of prospective partners for Waste-to-Energy (WtE) projects, or waste-to-electricity conversion (PSEL).

This programme is a continuation of the first-stage selection that has already been conducted in Bekasi, Denpasar Raya, Bogor Raya, and Yogyakarta.

According to Danantara, the initiative is part of implementing national waste management policy, including Presidential Regulation No. 109 of 2025, which encourages the adoption of environmentally friendly technology.

Through this process, Danantara is opening opportunities for both domestic and international companies with experience and capabilities in PSEL projects to participate in establishing a Verified Provider List (DPT) as a pre-qualification stage for prospective partners.

Companies that qualify for the DPT will be included in a list of potential partners for waste-to-energy conversion projects across Indonesia. Fadli Rahman, Director of Investment at DIM, stated that reopening registration aims to broaden technology options and funding sources.

“This opening is to increase participation from both domestic and global companies in developing modern waste management infrastructure in Indonesia,” said Fadli.

Danantara emphasised that this initiative is part of efforts to support emergency national waste management whilst developing sustainable green energy.
