Danantara Officially Consolidates All State-Owned Hotels Under InJourney
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) has officially merged all State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) hotels, which will now be operated under InJourney as part of a broader SOE transformation initiative.
“The unification of all SOE hotels under the InJourney umbrella is a major leap in reorganising and strengthening the value of our hospitality assets to ensure greater competitiveness,” stated the Head of SOE Management and COO of Danantara, Dony Oskaria, in a statement confirmed in Jakarta on Friday.
A total of 45 hotels spread across various SOEs signed a Conditional Sale and Purchase Agreement (CSPA) on Friday (26/6) as part of the hotel asset unification under InJourney.
Dony continued, noting that the signing of the CSPA by these 45 hotels is a key component of the SOE transformation within the hospitality sector.
Dony added that the CSPA scheme ensures the asset consolidation process is conducted meticulously and prioritises good corporate governance.
“We will continue to maintain this positive momentum, and we project additional signings from several other hotels early next week. This is a concrete step towards optimising asset value and creating a more resilient management structure,” said Dony.
He projected that 120 SOE hotels will eventually be merged to be managed by InJourney. Consequently, Dony stated that InJourney is set to become the second-largest hotel operator in Indonesia.
“The consolidation of all SOE hotels serves as a solid foundation for value creation. This transformation will ultimately create a more efficient, competitive, and integrated tourism industry portfolio,” Dony said.
It was previously reported that Dony is prepared to seek strategic investment partners in the hospitality sector once the consolidation of at least 100 SOEs is complete.
Furthermore, he stated that all consolidated assets will be unified under PT Hotel Indonesia Natour, also known as Injourney Hospitality.
Once the consolidation is finalised, Dony stated that Danantara is ready to open strategic partnerships for investors through various cooperation schemes.
