The Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (Danantara) has officially merged four state-owned asset management companies into a single entity under Mandiri Manajemen Investasi. Danantara COO and Head of the State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Supervisory Board, Dony Oskaria, explained that the policy is part of a major transformation of state asset management to make it more efficient, professional, and competitive. He stressed, however, that the consolidation is not merely a structural simplification. ‘Streamlining is not the end goal. The most important thing is that the restructured SOE assets can be managed more optimally, more productively, and truly create added value for the country,’ Oskaria stated in Jakarta on Wednesday (8/7). The merger decision was taken in a meeting attended by Danantara CEO and Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM Rosan Roeslani, COO Dony Oskaria, and CIO Pandu Sjahrir. Minister Rosan Roeslani emphasised that the consolidation is crucial for strengthening investor confidence. He noted that with this merger, Mandiri Manajemen Investasi will become the largest asset management company in Indonesia, integrating SOE asset portfolios and strengthening investment governance. The four merged asset management companies are PNM Investment Management, BNI Asset Management, and BRI Manajemen Investasi, with Mandiri Manajemen Investasi serving as the surviving entity.
