Jakarta (ANTARA) - Danantara is merging four state-owned asset management companies into one entity under Mandiri Manajemen Investasi as part of efforts to strengthen the transformation of state asset management.

“Streamlining is not the end goal. The most important thing is how the restructured state-owned assets can be managed more optimally, more productively, and truly create added value for the country,” said Danantara COO and Head of BP BUMN Dony Oskaria in an official statement confirmed by ANTARA from Jakarta on Wednesday.

The four state-owned asset management firms to be merged are PNM Investment Management, BNI Asset Management, BRI Manajemen Investasi, and Mandiri Manajemen Investasi. Mandiri Manajemen Investasi will be the surviving entity.

This consolidation is part of an effort to build a more integrated, efficient, and professional asset management platform to optimise the value of state assets.

The decision was taken in a meeting on Tuesday (7/7) attended by Danantara CEO and Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM Rosan Roeslani, Danantara COO and Head of BP BUMN Dony Oskaria, and Danantara CIO Pandu Sjahrir.

During the meeting, Danantara’s leadership agreed to the merger of the four state-owned asset management companies as a strategic step to strengthen the institutional structure and asset management under Danantara.

Through this merger, Danantara will have the largest asset management company in Indonesia, capable of integrating asset portfolios, strengthening capabilities and governance, improving management efficiency, and increasing investment appeal.

The consolidation is also expected to optimise the utilisation of state assets, thereby providing greater added value and economic contribution to national development.

By establishing the largest asset management company in Indonesia, Danantara reaffirms its commitment to building a state asset management system that is more integrated, professional, and oriented towards value creation.

This step is expected to increase the productivity of state-owned assets, strengthen investor confidence, and provide a greater contribution to national economic growth.
