Danantara meets Tony Blair to strengthen international collaboration

Danantara received a visit from former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and representatives of the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI) to strengthen international collaboration aimed at supporting the acceleration of state-owned enterprise (BUMN) transformation, boosting investment, and national development. “We want the BUMN transformation to proceed more quickly. Therefore, it is important for us to open up space for collaboration with global partners like the Tony Blair Institute,” said Head of BP BUMN and COO of Danantara Dony Oskaria in an official statement confirmed by ANTARA from Jakarta on Wednesday. The meeting was attended by Danantara CEO and Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM Rosan Roeslani, Head of BP BUMN and COO of Danantara Dony Oskaria, and Danantara CIO Pandu Sjahrir. During the meeting, both parties discussed various strategic cooperation opportunities that could support the BUMN transformation agenda through strengthening governance, developing strategic sectors, and enhancing Indonesia’s global competitiveness. The discussions also covered potential collaboration in economic zone development, accelerating industrial downstreaming, infrastructure development, digital transformation, and institutional capacity building by leveraging the experience and global network of the Tony Blair Institute. This synergy is expected to introduce best practices, expand access to quality investment, and accelerate the implementation of various national strategic programmes. Dony Oskaria emphasised that collaboration with global partners is an important part of strengthening BUMN transformation. “There is a lot of experience and practice that we can adapt so that the results are more optimal and truly provide added value for Indonesia,” said Dony. BP BUMN and Danantara continue to strengthen collaboration with various international strategic partners as part of efforts to build BUMNs that are more professional, globally competitive, and capable of driving sustainable national economic growth.
