Jakarta — Danantara Indonesia marked one year of institutional operations with a joint reflection event at Wisma Danantara in Jakarta on Tuesday 11 March, attended by President Prabowo Subianto, cabinet ministers, and Danantara leadership and staff. The occasion reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to strengthening governance of state asset management in support of national economic development.

“We are grateful that Indonesia now has a state investment management institution that can be compared with sovereign wealth funds at the global level. However, this achievement is only the beginning, and we must continue to strengthen governance so that state asset management truly provides maximum benefits to the Indonesian people,” President Prabowo said in a statement.

The President emphasised the importance of maintaining integrity, governance discipline, and long-term orientation in state asset management to strengthen the foundation of national economic development. According to the President, Danantara was established to ensure state asset management is conducted professionally and provides real added value for national development and public welfare.

The one-year celebration event adopted the theme “One Danantara,” reflecting the spirit of all state-owned enterprises to move together in strengthening the foundation of the national economy whilst creating broader impact for future generations.

Danantara Indonesia Chief Executive Officer Rosan Roeslani said the first year of the institution focused on building institutional foundations and strengthening governance to ensure that state investment management orientation remained focused on long-term benefits for the public.

“State asset management must ultimately provide real impact for the nation’s future. Therefore, commitment to the development of future generations also forms an important part of Danantara Indonesia’s journey,” said Rosan.

As part of this commitment, the one-year celebration included a symbolic handover of 88,000 school supply packages for children across Indonesia, carried out simultaneously by state-owned enterprises in various regions.
