Danantara Marks First Anniversary, Laying Foundations for Future Generations as Bank Mandiri Supports Educational Access
Jakarta – Danantara Indonesia marked one year of its organisational journey through a reflection activity held at Wisma Danantara in Jakarta on Tuesday, 11 March 2026. The event was attended by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Cabinet ministers, and Danantara’s entire leadership and personnel.
During the occasion, Prabowo Subianto provided strategic guidance regarding the management of state assets. He emphasised that integrity, discipline in governance, and long-term orientation are key to strengthening the foundations of the national economy.
The President stated that the formation of Danantara Indonesia aims to ensure that state assets are managed professionally and provide sustainable benefits for the public.
“We are grateful that Indonesia now has a state investment management institution that can be compared with sovereign wealth funds at the global level. In this one year, it is evident that with good management, disciplined governance, and strong commitment, the performance of state asset management can increase significantly. However, this achievement is only the beginning. Going forward, we must continue to strengthen governance and improve performance so that state asset management truly provides maximum benefits for the Indonesian people,” he stated.
The first anniversary commemoration was themed “One Danantara”, reflecting the spirit of synergy among all state-owned enterprises in strengthening the national economy and creating sustainable impact for future generations.
Meanwhile, Danantara Indonesia CEO Rosan Roeslani explained that the primary focus in the first year was building strong institutional foundations and ensuring that investment direction remains focused on long-term benefits.
“State asset management ultimately must provide tangible impact for the nation’s future. Therefore, commitment to developing the next generation is also an important part of Danantara Indonesia’s journey,” he said.
This commitment was not only realised through strengthening governance, but also through various programmes that have direct impact on society, including young people.
As a symbol of this commitment, Danantara, together with state-owned enterprises, carried out a symbolic distribution of 88,000 school supply packages for children throughout Indonesia. This programme was conducted simultaneously in various regions to support educational access and prepare Indonesia’s Golden Generation.
